Remodeling Thoughts…
Welcome to our remodeling page. For the last few years, we have been able to offer our clients a unique service combining our expertise in real estate and remodeling. Randy has been a licensed general contractor for the last 25 years with a focus on design and build. Kim has been a full time realtor in her 8th year of helping buyers and sellers with their real estate needs. Randy obtained his real estate license in ’06 and we have consulted with many clients on whether it would be beneficial for them to remodel or sell their homes in order to get their “dream home”.
One of Randy’s recent achievements was putting a pitched roof on a home that once had a flat top roof line. This home was built in the 1950’s of cinder blocks with a tar and gravel roof. After consulting with the owners and finding out that they absolutely loved the neighborhood and large lot located in a great South Walnut Creek neighborhood close to town, Randy discussed their options. He worked up a design based on what they were looking for in their “dream home” and what was possible with the current condition of their home. They decided to replace the roof with a stacked roof of composition shingles and to stucco the outside of the home to give it an updated “Mediterranean” look. Wow, what a difference it made!! They increased the value of their home substantially by dramatically changing the exterior of the home for loads of curb appeal. And maybe more importantly, they now have a home they LOVE!
